At each stop, “Tsipouro” and “Rakia” will be featured in handcrafted cocktails created by local expert mixologist, giving a new idea of their usefulness, apart from being consumed in the traditional way.
Greek Tsipouro is a pomace brandy from Greece and in particular Thessaly, Epirus, Macedonia, and the island of Crete. Tsipouro is a product of multiple distillations retaining the character of the Muscat grape variety. The complex aroma and rich taste are elements acquired through the long aging procedure in oak barrels.
Bulgarian Rakia (Pomoriyska Grozdova Rakia), the national Bulgarian drink, is the collective term for fruit brandy popular in Central Europe and Southeast Europe that can be characterized by its transparent straw color and pleasant Muscat aroma. Rakia has a fascinating fragrance of white flowers and acacia, with flavors of dried fruit, vanilla, and caramel.
Along the tour, attendees will enjoy complimentary hosted appetizers, drink Tsipouro and Rakia, handcrafted cocktails, as well as meet Greek representatives and expert mixologist with whom attendees will be able to talk to and be educated on these Mediterranean spirits and cultural aspects.
